Ingredients
  

For the Pasta Base

  • 2 cups cooked macaroni opt for gluten-free pasta if desired

For the Shrimp

  • 1 pound cooked shrimp peeled and shelled, ensure it's fresh or properly thawed

For the Vegetables

  • 1 medium shallot chopped, can swap with red onion
  • 1 cup chopped celery can substitute with bell peppers
  • ¼ cup chopped parsley use basil or dill for a different twist

For the Dressing

  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice lime juice is a refreshing alternative
  • ¼ cup olive oil avocado oil can be used for a different flavor
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce soy sauce is a good substitute
  • ½ cup mayonnaise Greek yogurt can lighten it up
  • ¼ cup sour cream plain yogurt can serve as a good swap
  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder prepared mustard can be an easy alternative
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar maple syrup can work as a substitute

For Seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon granulated garlic consider using fresh garlic
  • to taste salt adjust according to taste preferences

  • ½ teaspoon cumin coriander can be used for milder flavor

  • In a bowl, toss the cooked shrimp with lemon juice, olive oil, granulated garlic, and cumin. Allow it to marinate for 10 minutes.
  • Sauté the marinated shrimp over medium heat for about 5 minutes until they turn pink and opaque, then remove from heat and let them cool.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the sour cream, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, mustard powder, salt, pepper, granulated garlic, and cumin until smooth and creamy.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked macaroni, cooled shrimp, shallot, chopped celery, and parsley. Pour the dressing over and mix well.
  • Refrigerate the salad for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Serve it cold.

Notes

For added crunch, include some diced bell peppers or corn in the mix. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
