Ingredients
  

Garlic and Oil

  • 1 bulb garlic
  • 1 cup extra virgin olive oil plus a teaspoon for drizzling the bulb
  • 3 tablespoons chopped rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder optional

Instructions
 

Dipping Oil Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Prepare the garlic bulb by trimming a little off the top to expose the tops of the cloves.
  • Place the bulb on a square of aluminum foil. Drizzle a little olive oil on top of the trimmed bulb and wrap it in foil.
  • Place the foil packet in the oven and bake for 30 to 40 minutes until caramelized.
  • Pour the olive oil into a bowl and stir in rosemary, salt, pepper, and onion powder. Squeeze the cooled garlic cloves into the bowl and mash.
  • Serve the oil with bread for dipping and enjoy!

Notes

This oil should be enjoyed immediately. Leftovers that have been sitting out for a while should be discarded due to food safety concerns.
