Ingredients
  

French Onion Dip

  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 0.5 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 0.25 cup mayo
  • 1 tablespoon chives, finely chopped

Additional Sub Ingredients

  • 1 large sub roll
  • lettuce, chopped
  • tomatoes, sliced
  • onions, sliced
  • cucumbers, sliced
  • sliced cheese of choice

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a cast iron skillet over med high heat, add the butter and let it melt.
  • Next add the onions and cook for 5-7 mins on med/low heat until it starts to become translucent.
  • Next add all the seasoning and cook the mixture down for another 3-5 mins. Take it off the stove and let it cool down for a bit.
  • In a bowl mix the sour cream and mayo. Add the onion mixture followed by the chives. Mix everything together until it’s well combined.
  • You can serve as is or place in an airtight container in the fridge and serve it with some potato chips!
