Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 10 pieces egg roll wrappers
  • 1 piece egg beaten
  • 2 cups vegetable oil for frying
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar for dusting
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries sliced

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, beat softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy.
  • Add vanilla extract and mix until fully incorporated.
  • Lay an egg roll wrapper in a diamond shape on a clean surface.
  • Spoon 2-3 tablespoons of filling onto the lower third of the wrapper.
  • Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll tightly.
  • Brush the edge with beaten egg and seal completely.
  • Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
  • Fry egg rolls in small batches for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  • Remove and drain on paper towels.
  • Dust with powdered sugar and serve with fresh strawberries.

Notes

Do not overfill the wrappers to prevent bursting during frying. Keep oil temperature steady at 350°F for best crispiness. Serve immediately for the perfect contrast of crispy shell and creamy filling.
